another right wing hero working with trump to overthrow the election... trump team f-ed up wackos..

Lin Wood’s Ex-Law Partners Claim He Was Taped Admitting to Assaults, Asserting He May Be ‘Christ Coming Back for Second Time’

Quote:
Attorney L. Lin Wood may believe himself to be a vessel of the second coming, and he’s not referring to another Donald Trump presidential term. That’s what Wood’s former law partners wrote in a legal brief quoting what they describe as recorded conversations proving that the lawyer gunning to overturn the 2020 election has a habit of associating himself with “God Almighty.”

“I might actually be Christ coming back for a second time in the form of an imperfect man, elevating Christ consciousness,” an extraordinary footnote quotes Wood telling his partners. “That cause you to have a little bit of a chill? Who would be more eloquent to say what the will of God is, the belief of God in me.”

Wood is said to have called himself the representative of various Biblical figures.

“I represent Moses,” Wood allegedly declared on tape. “I represent Ananias the believer. I’m like the power of King David. Now look you all, I told you I was going to pray tonight to my God, not to myself, because to me there’s God and there’s me.”

The quotations came to light during contentious litigation between Wood and his former partners Nicole Wade, Jonathan Grunberg, and Taylor Wilson, who broke up from L. Lin Wood, P.C. earlier this year to start their own firm Wade, Grunberg & Wilson, LLC.

When they filed their lawsuit on Aug. 30, this year’s presidential election had still been months away, and Wood was known for representing Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse and QAnon adherent Marjorie Taylor Greene, who was then a congressional candidate. Wood previously had a long history with high-profile clients like the parents of JonBenet Ramsey and Richard Jewell, whose name he cleared in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics bombing.

The former partners claimed that their relationship with Wood spanning roughly half a decade started deteriorating late last year as Wood began to exhibit “erratic, hostile, abusive, and threatening” behavior.

“In the Fall of 2019, defendant Wood also committed assault and battery on Grunberg in an elevator of a hotel during an out of town deposition,” they wrote in their complaint, which also alleges that Wood attacked Wilson. “In both assaults, there was essentially no reason whatsoever for the attack, and defendant Wood later acknowledged and apologized for this violence.”

What’s more, the partners claim, Wood admitted to those assaults on tape.

“The truth is that Wood has admitted to these assaults on multiple recordings,” they wrote in a footnote, describing Wood’s denials as “malicious.”

Their attorney Andrew M. Beal did not respond to requests for comment by press time. The recordings are undated in court papers, except to say they were disclosed to Wood and his counsel this past March.

The partners want a Georgia judge to enforce the terms of a settlement agreement signed in March 2020, which they claim Wood fraudulently induced them into signing and then refused to pay what he owed.

Clapping back at the lawsuit as a “shakedown effort,” Wood filed counterclaims of defamation and false light invasion of privacy, describing the lawsuit’s lurid details of his exploding at his former partners impertinent and “scandalous.” The complaint quotes him dropping him the F-bomb some 15 times and derisively calling Grunberg a “Chilean Jew.”

“You look in the mirror and you’re gonna see a Chilean Jewish fucking crook,” Wood told Grunberg in a voicemail on Feb. 17, 2020, according to the complaint. “Goodbye, Jonathan… you sorry bastard.”

Denying that they defamed Wood by accusing him of being “mentally unstable,” “delusional,” or having a “God-complex,” the partners claim they are simply quoting his well-documented words. The remarks come from a Dec. 23 filing seeking to punish Wood’s “frivolous” countersuit under Georgia’s anti-SLAPP law.

Short for “strategic lawsuits against public participation,” anti-SLAPP lawsuits are designed to punish those who abuse the court system to stifle speech. The partners argue that Wood countersued to burden them with “undue legal expenses and delay.”

“This is the very conduct targeted by Georgia’s Anti-SLAPP statute,” they argue, seeking the allegations stricken and their legal expenses reimbursed.

Wood, who did not immediately respond to an email requesting comment about what he meant by the remarks attributed to him, has been staring down possible penalties for his post-election antics.

Earlier this month, a Delaware judge found that he may have violated professional rules for conduct in Wisconsin and Georgia, including by filing a lawsuit without a plaintiff’s authorization, submitting a false affidavit, and making a series of errors that could verge upon incompetence. Wood previously denied those allegations and told Law&Crime he is seeking a lawyer to fight them in court.

Attorneys for the state of Michigan and city of Detroit have been seeking sanctions for his litigation there with conspiracy theorist Sidney Powell, who named her quartet of lawsuits the “Kraken” after the mythical octopus-like monster before losing all four cases. The lawyer for Detroit revealed plans to ask a judge to refer their legal team to the Michigan bar for possible grievance proceedings.

Wood was also the recent recipient of a letter from Dominion Voting Systems, demanding that he preserve documents and warning of imminent litigation. Smartmatic has threatened litigation as well.

Read the legal brief by Wood’s ex-partners below:

Proud Boys chairman Enrique Tarrio was arrested Monday afternoon in Washington, D.C., shortly after landing in the nation's capital to attend rallies protesting President Donald Trump's loss in November's election.

Tarrio, 36, was on a phone call with a USA Today reporter when the call was interrupted by loud sirens. He joked that "They're for me," and then, sounding confused, asked the driver of the car he was riding in to pull over. Tarrio told the reporter, "Here's something to write about," before hanging up the call.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police Department said Tarrio was arrested and charged with destruction of property in connection with an incident last month where Tarrio set fire to a Black Lives Matter banner after a Trump rally. Tarrio later boasted about it on social media. Officials said Tarrio, who is a convicted felon, was arrested while in possession of two high-capacity firearm magazines and was additionally charged with "Possession of High Capacity Feeding Device."

Couy Griffin, 'Cowboys for Trump' Leader Who Vowed To Put Flag on Pelosi's Desk, Arrested
BY KHALEDA RAHMAN ON 1/18/21 AT 7:59 AM EST

Quote:
CCouy Griffin, a New Mexico county commissioner and the leader of the "Cowboys for Trump" group, has been arrested. He had vowed to return to Washington, D.C. with firearms following the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Griffin was arrested on Sunday and charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful entry, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia announced Sunday.

An affidavit said the FBI had received a tip on January 9 that Griffin—an Otero County commissioner—was at the Capitol on January 6 and had vowed to return on January 20 to place a flag on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's desk.

Griffin told FBI investigators on January 11 that he went to Washington, D.C. to take part in a protest that he expected to be peaceful, according to the affidavit.

He said he was "caught up" in the crowd that pushed its way through the barricades and entered the restricted area of the Capitol, but insisted he did not enter the building and had remained on the Capitol steps.

A video posted to Griffin's personal Facebook page as well as footage published by several media outlets shows Griffin in the restricted areas of the Capitol, the affidavit said.

The document noted that footage aired by Inside Edition showed Griffin live-streamed from the steps of the Capitol.

In an interview with the outlet, he said: "We are not going to allow it. There will never be a Biden presidency.

here is tucker right wing hero and his fake news and how liars mis-inform the cluless right wing haters....

https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/tucker-carlson-suggests-baseless-joe-scarborough-murder-accusation-might-have-merit-video/ar-BB1d5Kvl

Tucker Carlson Suggests Baseless Joe Scarborough Murder Accusation Might Have Merit (Video)

Quote:
On Monday's episode of his Fox New show, Tucker Carlson was very mad at MSNBC host Joe Scarborough for saying Fox News hosts go out of their way to spread misinformation. But during his rebuttal, Tucker appeared to suggest that a false accusation of murder against Scarborough might have some sort of basis. (It absolutely doesn't.)

During a longer rant that touched on things like efforts by Democrats pass a new anticorruption law, which Tucker claims is a plot to "stifle" conservatives, and the unkind things critics say about Fox News, Tucker advanced the point that critics of Fox News are "stupid" and wrong." But, he warned his viewers, their ideas might still prevail and "we should be worried when large numbers of people say irrational things."

As an example of a thing Tucker considers irrational, he played a recent MSNBC clip featuring Scarborough, who talked about a Fox guest that baselessly claimed that Democrats want to "exterminate" Republicans, and suggested Fox advertisers might want to pay attention.

That's when Tucker rebutted that "irrational" idea with the following: "So how honest do you want to be here? The man you just saw has been accused in public, by the President of the United States, of murdering a young woman. Not many cable news hosts can say that. Now, we're not taking a position on Joe Scarborough's guilt or innocence in that case. We're not a law enforcement agency. It's not our place to do that."

Also read: Here Are the Premiere Dates for Broadcast TV's New and Returning Midseason Shows (Updating)

Now, Tucker was careful to make it clear he isn't pronouncing that Scarborough is guilty of murder. Which is good, because the accusation Tucker is referring to is completely false.

So what happened is that Lori Klausutis, a woman who worked for Scarborough when he was a U.S. Representative in Florida, died in Scarborough's Fort Walton Beach office in 2001. Her death was an accident, the result of an undiagnosed heart condition that caused her to faint and injure her head. Scarborough was in Washington, D.C. when she died, and police have never suspected foul play. In short, there is no mystery surrounding her death, it was just an unfortunate tragedy. Which means even if Tucker was a law enforcement agency, it wouldn't be his place to wonder about Scarborough's innocence or guilt.

But in 2020, Donald Trump responded to harsh criticism from Scarborough by advancing the baseless conspiracy theory that Scarborough killed Klausutis. He even insisted that he believes Scarborough "got away with murder." This is, again, just a flat lie, told by the most powerful person in the country to smear a critic.

Also read: Meghan McCain: Democrats Who Agree With Katie Couric's 'Deprogram' Comments Can 'Go to Hell' (Video)

So after bringing up this baseless lie about Scarborough — which, to be clear, he said he wasn't taking a position on — Tucker continued, saying: "But one thing we did not do, and would never do, is go on TV to demand that because Joe Scarborough was accused of violence by a politician, American companies should not be allowed to sell their products to his viewers."

"Doing that never even occurred to us, not for a second," Tucker said before appearing to imply yet again that Trump's lie might have merit. "We're not fascists. Or for that matter, middle aged performers running away from their consciences. We're Americans. We believe people we disagree with should still be allowed to talk in public."

Like we said, Trump's accusation was a lie. Scarborough did not commit murder and has never been a murder suspect. Still, it's weird that Tucker didn't seem to know that. Then again, in 2020 a judge ruled that Tucker Carlson has no credibility, and that viewers should not expect him to discuss "actual facts" on his show.

Everytown urges Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to resign over newly uncovered remarks

Everytown for Gun Safety is again pushing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) to resign following reports that she expressed support for violence against Democrats before running for Congress.

The gun control advocacy group, along with its grassroots networks Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action, cited Facebook exchanges from 2018 and 2019 that were reported by CNN's KFile on Tuesday.

The investigation found a post from January 2019 in which Greene liked a comment saying that "a bullet to the head would be quicker" to remove House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

"Unhinged conspiracy theorists and gun extremists like Rep. Greene have no place in the People's House," said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action. "She's putting lives in danger and will continue to do so for as long as she's in office."

CNN also uncovered a post from April 2018 about the Iran nuclear deal, in which a commenter asked, "Now do we get to hang them? Meaning H&O?" in reference to former President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Greene reportedly replied, "Stage is being set. Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off."

In response to the CNN investigation, Greene posted to Twitter, "Fake News CNN is writing yet another hit piece on me focused on my time before running for political office." She vowed to not "back down."

Everytown first called for Greene to resign last week following allegations that she was involved in Facebook exchanges that denied school shootings.

The group cited a Media Matters article that uncovered exchanges from 2018 in which Greene allegedly agreed that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting were not real or not done by the people arrested for them.

Greene is the first sitting lawmaker Everytown has called on to resign. Billionaire and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination last year, is a co-founder of Everytown and is the organization's largest donor.

Video surfaces of Marjorie Taylor Greene confronting Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg with baseless claims

Quote:
Video of Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene confronting Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg before she was elected to Congress went viral Wednesday amid an uproar over newly reported comments she made in 2018 and 2019.

In the video from March 2019, Greene follows Hogg as he walks toward the US Capitol. She can be heard making false and baseless claims as she asks him a series of questions related to gun rights and how he was able to meet with senators. Hogg continues to walk without addressing Greene.

"He's a coward," Greene says at the end of the video as Hogg walks away, claiming his activism was funded by billionaire philanthropist George Soros, who is often the subject of far-right conspiracy theories, and other liberals. "He can't say one word because he can't defend his stance."

Greene -- who has previously called Hogg "#littleHitler" -- said in a written statement to CNN that the video was taken while she was in Washington, "going from office to office in the Senate to oppose the radical gun control agenda that David Hogg was pushing."

"In 11th grade, one of my fellow student took our school hostage with a gun he brought to our 'gun-free' school," Greene said. "I understand that fear firsthand and I will always work to protect our gun rights so that Americans can defend themselves and others against bad people intent to harm or kill them."

CNN has reached out to Hogg for comment. He tweeted Wednesday morning, "It's so frustrating that we have people like @mtgreenee in Congress that would rather spread conspiracies about mass shootings than confront the reality people are dying everyday from gun violence."

"I just want to do the work and help end gun violence" he said.

He added, "People like @mtgreenee would like you to think we do this work because we see it as fun and we are 'paid off' by Soros. That is anything but true. We organize because we have to -- not because we want to. To suggest otherwise is disgusting."

Seventeen people were killed and more than a dozen others injured on February 14, 2018, when a gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Hogg survived and has since become a vocal proponent of stricter gun regulation.

Fred Guttenberg, who became an activist after his daughter was shot and killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting, said he released the video on Twitter "to shine sunlight" on Greene. Guttenberg has demanded Greene resign after social media posts surfaced showing she agreed with people who said the mass shooting was a "false flag" operation.

"This is what I'm going to do every day until I meet her in person," Guttenberg told CNN, adding, "She and I are going to meet in person, and I will make sure it is recorded because I don't want there to be any question over what was said, how it was said and facts. There won't be any questions as to facts. And I'm going to bring proof of what happened to my daughter."

The video reemerged one day after CNN's KFile reported that Greene repeatedly indicated support for executing prominent Democratic politicians in 2018 and 2019 before being elected to Congress.

In one post, from January 2019, Greene liked a comment that said "a bullet to the head would be quicker" to remove House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. In other posts, Greene liked comments about executing FBI agents who, in her eyes, were part of the "deep state" working against Trump.

In one Facebook post from April 2018, Greene wrote conspiratorially about the Iran deal, one of former President Barack Obama's signature foreign policy achievements. A commenter asked Greene, "Now do we get to hang them ?? Meaning H & O ???," referring to Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Greene replied, "Stage is being set. Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off."

After CNN reached out to Greene, her personal Twitter account posted a statement in which she did not deny that she had liked posts and replied to comments but claimed that many people have run her Facebook page.

"Over the years, I've had teams of people manage my pages. Many posts have been liked. Many posts have been shared. Some did not represent my views. Especially the ones that CNN is about to spread across the internet," she wrote. Greene did not specify whether she or a member of her team were behind the posts reviewed by CNN's KFile.

Despite the violent nature of those comments, most House Republicans were silent on Wednesday about what Greene had posted, with few exceptions.

House GOP Whip Steve Scalise said in a statement to CNN, "I've consistently condemned the use of violent rhetoric in politics on both sides, and this is no exception. There is no place for comments like that in our political discourse."

A spokesperson for Rep. Liz Cheney, the No. 3 House Republican, told CNN in a statement, "Rep. Cheney has spoken out in the past about hateful comments from members of both parties and she finds these recent posts repugnant."

Pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood puts license in jeopardy by refusing mental health evaluation

By Jan Wolfe and David Thomas

(Reuters) - An attorney licensing body on Friday said it has asked L. Lin Wood, a lawyer who played a key role in Donald Trump's attempts to overturn his election defeat, to undergo a mental health evaluation.

Wood said on the app Telegram on Thursday that the State Bar of Georgia had told him he needed to submit to the evaluation to keep his law license.

"My mind is sound. I have broken no rules. I asked what I had done wrong. I was only told it was about my social media comments. My speech," he wrote.

Wood did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

State Bar of Georgia Chief Operating Officer Sarah Coole confirmed that Wood had been asked to undergo a mental health evaluation but declined to comment further.

The development comes weeks after Wood, an Atlanta-based defamation litigator, was banned from Twitter, where he regularly embraced conspiracy theories.

A Delaware state judge earlier this month blocked Wood from representing former Trump adviser Carter Page, calling claims Wood made on Twitter about U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts "too disgusting and outrageous to repeat."

Wood was also fired in January by a Kentucky teenager who sued media outlets over their portrayal of his viral stand-off with a Native American activist in Washington in 2019.

Judge declines to release New Mexico official charged in Capitol riot

Quote:
Lawyers for Couy Griffin, 47, urged that he be allowed to return home, but Judge Zia Faruqui sided with prosecutors who said the Cowboys for Trump founder was a flight risk.

During a videoconference hearing Monday afternoon, Faruqui said Griffin's disdain for the government was so intense that he was unlikely to obey the court's orders.

"He demonstrated that he believes that violence is on the table," the magistrate said. "His statements demonstrate to me a lack of faith and belief in the legitimacy of this government. ... I don’t believe that he will believe that those orders are to be respected or followed."

Griffin is known for his provocative and sometimes disturbing statements at Otero County commission meetings and elsewhere. "The only good Democrat is a dead Democrat," he said at one such session, before insisting he was speaking metaphorically. At another, following the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol, Griffin said he planned to return to Washington armed for a Second Amendment rally on Inauguration Day.

Griffin was arrested near a security checkpoint in Washington on Jan. 17. He faces one misdemeanor count of entering a Secret Service-restricted area without permission during the riot earlier in the month.

A lawyer for Griffin said he had "caveated" his statement about Democrats and that all of Griffin's statements were within First Amendment standards, but the judge sounded doubtful.

"You don't get to say something and then say you don't really mean it," Faruqui said. "Words matter. Facts matter ... I don’t think this is political speech. This is far from it."

Griffin attorney Nicholas Smith argued that his client's concerns with the executive branch and legislative branch did not extend to the courts. "Nothing in the record suggests he doesn't have respect for the judiciary," Smith said.

However, the judge said he saw no reason to make such a distinction.

Smith also argued that prosecutors needed to show that Griffin knew a Secret Service protectee was at the Capitol when he allegedly breached the barricades outside.

Faruqui said it was obvious to anyone that Vice President Mike Pence was inside because of his role in the tabulation of electoral votes — the process that was the target of the Jan. 6 protesters. The judge also mentioned members of Congress, incorrectly stating that they are protected by the Secret Service.

"This is not something that was relegated to a civics class," the magistrate said. "It was an international news story. ... I think that is a reasonable inference."

An initial hearing for Griffin held on Jan. 21 was aborted after he reportedly refused to talk to the judge on a telephone and refused to take a Covid-19 test that would allow him to go to an area of the D.C. jail where prisoners join video court hearings.

Smith said the episode was a misunderstanding and his client thought guards were trying to get him to speak to a lawyer seeking to represent him. Griffin has since taken a coronavirus test and been placed in the general population, the defense attorney said.

Griffin, a former street preacher and cowboy performer at Paris Disneyland, is one of the most lightly charged defendants in federal court cases stemming from the Capitol riot. He faces a maximum sentence on the current charge of up to a year in prison. Prosecutors have not alleged that he entered the Capitol, but solely that he went through police lines and took up a position on the Capitol steps during the melee.

Griffin can appeal the magistrate's ruling to the court's chief judge, Beryl Howell, who has said she views the events of Jan. 6 as exceptionally grave.

Proud Boys Spent Weeks Planning the U.S. Capitol Siege; Leader Ethan Nordean Poses a ‘Serious Risk of Flight’: Prosecutors

Quote:
The memorandum indicates federal authorities are digging further into the communications of Proud Boys members. It says the Proud Boys started talking online about the Jan. 6th rally “as early as December 2020” and that Proud Boys leader Enrique Terrio told members not to wear the group’s “traditional Black and Yellow” garb. Rather, members should be “incognito,” the court documents quote Terrio as saying, or that some should dress in solid black to mimic the Antifa protesters “whom the Proud Boys have identified as an enemy.”

Nordean dressed in all black at the Jan. 6th siege. (An Associated Press photo of Nordean at the event was embedded in the federal court document.)

Texas pastors under fire for referring to Kamala Harris as racist trope

‘What if something happens to [Biden], and Jezebel has to take over?’ wondered one from the pulpit. ‘Jezebel Harris? Isn’t that her name?’

Two white pastors in Texas are under fire for reportedly calling Vice President Kamala Harris a “jezebel” from their pulpits.

Pastor Steve Swofford of First Baptist Church of Rockwall, Texas referred to President Joe Biden as a “cognitively dysfunctional president.” He asked his congregation, “What if something happens to him, and Jezebel has to take over? Jezebel Harris? Isn’t that her name?”

Swofford made his remarks on Sunday, Jan. 3.

Two weeks later, Pastor Tom Buck, pastor of First Baptist Church in Lindale, Texas, made his first reference to the vice president on Twitter, where, according to Baptist News, he wrote: “I can’t imagine any truly God-fearing Israelite who would’ve wanted their daughters to view Jezebel as an inspirational role model because she was a woman in power.”

The tweet was posted two days after the inauguration.

Days later, Buck doubled down, writing: “For those torn up over my tweet, I stand by it 100%. My problem is her godless character. She not only is the most radical pro-abortion VP ever, but also most radical LGBT advocate. She performed one of the first Lesbian ‘marriages.’ Pray for her, but don’t praise her!”

Biblically, Jezebel was a princess and a prophet. She tried to save her own life and tempted a member of the royal guard. In popular culture, her name is used to refer to a “loose woman.” Further, since the age of American slavery, Jezebel came to be understood as an overly sexual Black woman, a stereotype depicted in film and fiction. Most recently, the image of the “Black Jezebel” was popularized in 1970s Blaxploitation films.

According to Baptist News, Dwight McKissic, a Black Southern Baptist minister, condemned Buck’s remarks.

“I find his comment regarding Madam Vice President Kamala Harris extremely un-Christ like, unjustifiable & inconsistent with how he’s treated other female public figures,” tweeted McKissic of Buck, who he said was a friend.

“To refer to the Madam Vice President in any context as ‘Jezebel’ is simply unwarranted & disrespectful & extremely harmful to the image of Southern Baptists when this label emanates from the heart & mouth of an SBC pastor,” McKissic contended. “Consequently, I choose not to engage in any further fellowship with Tom Buck.”
