Anyone sail Skaket in E/NE wind.
I'll probably be down in Orleans near Skaket on Sunday

Looks like East would be side shore, likely gusty as wind coming across the outer cape, but there's a long fetch. Not sure where to launch from. Maybe the town resident (inlaws are orlenas residents) beach up the beach to the West ?'

thanks in advance

If you like waves consider Chapin and Corporation beaches a little further west in Dennis. If you like flatwater then Crosby and Ellis Landing in Brewster can be good at mid to high tide. In a strong true northeasterly Jacknife Cove at the bottom of Pleasant bay offers fun, protected bump-n-jump

Hi

Probably no go for Skaket tomorrow. It does work with a NNE though. And gets a steep chop with that direction.

Tomorrow, I'm planning on ol' flat-ish favorite Pleasant Bay.

Wow - I've never seen a forecast like this one

If it's more East than NE, than Jacknife would be a bit "offshore", correct?
Any issues with launching at Chapin during "Beach season"? I know Corporation can be tricky when it's still lifeiguard season; Howe St beach just east of Corp offers a launch that is away from the Corporation swimming area.
