Ok the lawsuits begin, these are the ones filed before he began running for president.

I am still hoping a very partisan special prosecuted is granted to go after the alleged rape of children by trump when he was in his 50s, three eye witnesses have sworn affidavits should be enough considering the seriousness of the crime against humanity. As well for the sexually attacking females as a right he claims was given to him. Remember the statute of limitations on all these can be extended if the witness feels threatened. And of course no one can argue that Trump does not threaten people with harm, he asked his followers to beat people for executing their right to free speech for his political gain and he would pay their legal bills.

Remember the first one after clinton was given because of Clinton lost 30-60k in a land deal was important enough to have a special prosecutor, actually even a second right wing one was appointed when the first partisan one said he could not get a grand jury to indict Clinton on anything, and the second one never got a grand jury to indict.

Come on we have three sworn affidavits in court saying Trump raped a child. And at trumps good friends home another convicted registered child molester, who took the 5th when asked if Trump was involved with underage girls. Why is a convicted pediophile taking the 5th on if trump was raping 13 year old children like he was doing. Thrumps friend Epstein is rumored to have raped over 60 children.

Before Donald Trump raises his right hand to take the oath of office in January, he’s set for a less-auspicious swearing-in: taking the witness stand in his own defense in a federal court civil trial over alleged fraud in his Trump University real estate seminar program.

Trump faces a legal ordeal no president-elect has ever encountered: juggling defending himself before a jury with preparing for the vast challenges a political novice will face in assuming the presidency.

Trump faces significant open litigation tied to his businesses: angry members at his Jupiter, Fla. golf course say they were cheated out of refunds on their dues and a former employee at the same club claims she was fired after reporting sexual harassment…. Trump is also defending lawsuits tied to his campaign. A disgruntled GOP political consultant sued for $4 million saying Trump defamed her. Another suit, a class action, says the campaign violated consumer protection laws by sending unsolicited text messages.

If elected, the open lawsuits will tag along with Trump. He would not be entitled to immunity, and could be required to give depositions or even testify in open court. That could chew up time and expose a litany of uncomfortable private and business dealings to the public.

Quote:
Note, none of these cases include the lawsuits Trump threatened to file during the campaign, including vows to go after the many women who accused him of sexual misconduct.

These controversies also don’t include the IRS audit of Trump’s finances, which remains unresolved, and which may or may not exist. (It’s an open question as to whether or not the Republican simply made up the audit; neither he nor his team have ever substantiated the claims.)

Remember, America, this is the man you elected.

In the campaign’s closing weeks, Trump routinely said it would be a national “disgrace” if Hillary Clinton won and faced legal problems after the election – an argument many of his followers found compelling.

One wonders if they appreciate the irony.

ya his lawyers are claiming in a case filed 6 years ago it should be delayed. BS... also they are now claiming his statement (lies) he made during his hate campaign and his past business dealings should not be a part of his fraud case for lying to the students?....

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-trump-lawsuit-ruling-idUSKBN1352D0

Quote:
In the tentative ruling Curiel, based in San Diego, said Trump's lawyers can renew objections to specific campaign statements and evidence during trial. Trump's attorneys had argued that jurors should not hear about statements Trump made during the campaign, including about Curiel himself.

Trump attacked the judge as biased against him. He claimed Curiel, who was born in Indiana but is of Mexican descent, could not be impartial because of Trump's pledge to build a wall between the United States and Mexico.

Trump's lawyers argued that Curiel should bar from the trial accusations about Trump's personal conduct including alleged sexual misconduct, his taxes and corporate bankruptcies, along with speeches and tweets. They argued the information is irrelevant to the jury and prejudicial to the case.

In court papers, lawyers for the students claimed that Trump's statements would help jurors as they weigh the Republican's credibility.

ya not guilty pays 25 million out. When he was on record saying he does not settle...

note the media seems to be skipping over this fact another million to new york for violating a state law. And we still need a special prosecutor for the right wing attorney general that trump who said he donates politically and expects something for it, what did he get when donating to her when that state then dropped the lawsuit it was pursuing a few days later.

also pays fine to NY for illegally operating a university.

Schneiderman said the settlement included a $1 million fine to the State of New York for calling the scheme a “university” in violation of state law, seeing as how it offered no degrees or traditional education. Or for that matter, anything of value at all.

Details emerge on ‘Trump University’ settlement
12/21/16 11:00 AM—UPDATED 12/21/16 11:29 AM
By Steve Benen
Quote:
On Jan. 20, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. On Jan. 18, however, Trump will have to set aside millions of dollars in order to compensate some of his alleged victims. Politico reported last night:
A federal judge has given preliminary approval to a $25 million deal to settle fraud lawsuits over President-elect Donald Trump’s Trump University real estate seminar program.

U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel issued an order Tuesday evening giving an initial sign-off on the settlement…. Trump University must produce the $25 million to fund the settlement by Jan. 18. If it doesn’t do so, Trump himself has to come up with the money.
As the Politico report makes clear, the process may yet take a few procedural twists and turns, and Curiel will still have to sign off on the final deal.

But as things stand, Donald Trump is poised to become the first American in history to headline a presidential inauguration and payoff the victims of an allegedly fraudulent scam in the same week.

I continue to think this is one of the under-appreciated parts of the president-elect’s background. The “Trump University” operation is awfully tough to defend, and it offers some striking parallels to the broader political circumstances: a controversial celebrity, eager to capitalize on his notoriety, made ridiculous and unrealistic claims, which he swore without evidence would produce amazing results. Those who chose to trust him, soon after, came to regret it.

The difference is, students from “Trump University” could file a civil suit, accusing Trump of orchestrating a fraud. Voters won’t have that luxury.

Let’s also note that the suit – which Trump promised not to settle, shortly before he settled – probably would have gone the plaintiff’s way had it continued. The New York Times had this report a few weeks ago:
Mr. Trump’s confident assertion clashes with the evidence gathered by prosecutors and plaintiffs’ lawyers in the case. Those documents include dozens of sworn statements by students and instructors, some of whom described the program as a scheme to cheat customers out of thousands of dollars, and sales playbooks that called for tapping into “the roller coaster of emotions” to get students to sign up.

In court, the president-elect would have contended with the personal and potentially damaging testimony of aggrieved students. One recounted in a legal filing that he had faced “strong pressure” to sign up for more expensive mentoring, including a push to increase his credit limit to pay for a $25,000 course. Another said his already difficult financial situation deteriorated further as a result of the program, leaving him “insolvent.” A third simply called it a “scam.”
We’ll never know how the case would have turned out, but the evidence against Trump painted a very ugly picture.

No American president has ever been accused of defrauding members of the public and knowingly running a scam operation, bilking unsuspecting victims of their money. It’s one of many reasons Donald J. Trump is in a league of his own.

75 Lawsuits Against President-Elect Trump
An astounding number of court battles—from Trump University suits to libel cases—will accompany Trump even as he moves into the White House.

President-elect Donald Trump will be spending the days running up to his inauguration in an unprecedented fashion. Along with choosing his cabinet and scheduling the busiest first day in office ever, the reality television star will also be defending himself in several courts of law.

The real-estate developer turned politician is familiar with the courtroom. As reported by USA Today in June, Trump has been a party to some 4,000 lawsuits over the last 30 years—a uniquely large number of actions framed by detractors as a telling indicator of a life of crooked dealing, and by supporters as simply the cost of running an enormously successful business in America.

Whatever one’s position on the election, it’s clear that Trump’s ongoing court battles—somewhere around 75, according to the USA Today analysis—are the first of their kind for any president, and because even the highest office in the land is not above the law, will accompany Trump as he moves into the White House.

hmmm trump lies all the time... one deposition in just one of his 4000 court cases found him lying 30 times. should a compulsive serial liar be allowed to use the courts to silence others when it is part and parcel his MO.

again sleep with a monster is your own poison. Remember trumps own words at his wedding with Melania is Pussy is expensive to those who would listen. What a great and true to form right example he is on his wedding day.

Note trump has not filed a case against the lady who claimed Trump raped her when she was a child at 13 years old. Or the two witnesses that also signed under penalty of Perjury that that were witnesses t him raping this 13 year old girl. That she did scream for help that she was being raped by trump at trumps friends home Epstien, Epstien has been convicted of child pediophile and allegded 30-60 more victims of him.

Where is donalds lawsuits he promised on these females when he was running for office.

Melania Trump appears in court over her Daily Mail lawsuit

Quote:
The incoming first lady made her first appearance in a Maryland court Monday for her defamation lawsuit against The Daily Mail Online and a Maryland-based blogger.

“Mrs. Trump was not required to attend the court conference, but chose to do so, to meet the Judge, meet opposing counsel, and show her commitment to the case,” a statement released by her attorney’s office said. ”Mrs. Trump looks forward to seeing the case to a successful conclusion.”

Melania Trump sued the two outlets in September over reports that her lawyer alleges were “100% false and tremendously damaging to her personal and professional reputation.”

In August, multiple outlets published reports that raised questions about Trump’s biography. After being put on notice, two of the other outlets issued apologies, but Trump moved forward with lawsuits against The Daily Mail and the blogger.

At the time of the lawsuit Trump’s lawyer estimated damages at $150 million dollars.

The president of the United States of America was just told to pay $6 mil for trying to scam people

Quote:
U.S. District Court Judge Keith Marra ruled that the Trump National Jupiter Golf Club violated the contracts with members by retaining the fees and locking out many members who had declared their plans to resign.

"The Court concludes that the Plan documents, as properly interpreted, were intended to provide club members of the resignation list with a continuing right to use the Club facilities until their membership was reissued to a new member, provided the club member was otherwise in good standing with the Club," Marr wrote in a 21-page decision issued Wednesday.
