After one and a half years of negotiations with the national park service, $4000 raised via GoFundMe, an extra $3000 from regular SFBA members donations hopefully very soon we will have two web cams for Crissy with updated cameras and software. https://sfba.org/index.php/join-us/membership-donate

I am involved in improving the Crissy cams and I am not allowed to say anything publicly at this time. Standby.

Great, most appreciated!
Also because we are approaching two years from the initial drive for this...

Wait !!!!!! the drive 2 years ago has been completed, there are now 2 cams, the old cam and a new cam. Both online and working.

The zoom is currently restricted do to security concerns with the national park service.

Possible more upgrades coming.

Is it me or (the good) Crissy webcam has been down for a while (+/- 1 month)?
https://parksconservancy.siteproxy.net/Crissy%20Beach/ctl.html

Low/def East Beach cam still working
https://parksconservancy.siteproxy.net/East%20Beach%20Webcam/ctl.html

Is it something with my settings/plug-in? Are there any more direct links?

Thanks.

It's not you - the Crissy webcam has been down for quite a while

You might find the Fog Today website which uses data from NOAA's high resolution GOES-16 satellite imagery helpful https://www.fog.today/

Click the 2 hour loop to estimate the fog trend
