Kite boarding made the permitted California outdoor recreation list.

And as another person pointed out, the list is non-exhaustive. So windsurfing is
not called out by exclusion.

Does it mean that parking at Bay area venues will now be open?

Coyote is still closed although San Mateo County did reopen several parks.

Kite Boarding and Kitesurfing are allowed but windsurfing is not? I don't think kite boarding and kitesurfing are two different sports; perhaps, they've confused kitesurfing with windsurfing?

But crabbing is allowed while fishing is not? Very odd. Rolling Eyes

It is not the crabbing of which you are thinking. It is allowing crabbing (or bitching) about the closures of things not on the list. Wink

I cannot comprehend any (free country) government dictating anyone's choices of recreation. How the hell does some damned bureaucrat know WTH someone enjoys? It's not about avoiding hospitals or rescue personnel, considering that it includes such risky activities as rock climbing, running, BMX and quad biking, kiting, etc. And, really, meditation? Watching a sunset? It's clearly about using CV as a slim excuse, until a better excuse comes along, for telling us what we can and can't do.

Man I suddenly feel much older now that Windsurfing isn't even mentioned... Well at least they didn't mention foil holing as a separate sport. This is like mentioning snowboarding but not skiing.

Quite the interesting list actually. You would think any one person sport would be allowed while Table Tennis and Volleyball are ok? Whats the difference between table tennis and tennis? Two people touching each others balls!
