Don’t respond to the following person on the windsurf ads. He is the typical scammer but comes across legit on first iWindsurf response asking for price and pictures. I responded and the second response comes across as always- non typical payment method...somebody will pick up...
Just a warning |

When they are trying to scam the small world of windsurfing, business must be on hard times. |

I had the same reaction as you when I first encountered this on iW. Scammers are fishing for victims across all the public classified sites on the internet. It’s standard behavior now and should be expected. I ignore any and all replies that aren’t customized and legit looking inquiries about the item. Don’t reply at all. Else you just end up providing them yet another verified e-mail address to spam in the future. |

The vast majority of phone calls and a lot of emails to my home are scammers. We've gotten up to four scam calls during one meal. Scammers are paid by the call, not by a commission. I can't ignore calls completely because most of the rest are from my medical providers, and Caller ID is useless. NO ONE except my wife gets my cell phone number legitimately. I assume everyone has the same problem, so why should the internet be any different?
Rule #1: If it sounds like a great deal, it's a scam.
Rule #2: Cashier's checks are forged all the time.
Rule #3: Don't give them ANY information.
Rule #4: Don't hand the phone to my wife. A phone in her hands is a 12 gauge with a hair trigger.
Rule (actually a question) #5: Why is my wife within 6 feet of you? |
