Damn, I thought I was the only WSing hoarder!
Just threw a ton away about a month ago.
However, glanced thru them first to save really good info.....
Good Luck disposing!

I have to admit to having a box of Surfer magazines from 1963-7. I still have them, but I never really look at them. Stuff from the past just taking up space.

I too have a box of surf magazines from the 60s. I will keep those forever. I know every page! I even had a couple of cartoons published in one issue. I’ll try to dig them up and post them.

I've used my old WSMags for decades for selecting outstanding swap meet and personal sale boards from a couple of years to 10-15 years old. Once I learned by experience to read between the reviews' lines, I snared scores of boards well tuned to my sailing preferences. I've been tutored by pros to "read" hulls, but I've found that, among similar-purposed boards, carefully studied reviews usually predict their performance better than my eyes and a straightedge do.

So you actually READ the articles. I just bought them for the photos of the cute chicks on their wind-boards.

Well, at that time in my life the girls in the Surfer magazines
were much better than the Sears catalog lingerie ads.
