Does anyone have recommendations for a sail repair loft in the US? I had Sailworks do some repairs for me years ago, and they did a great job, but they no longer work on non-Sailworks sails Sad I'd like to get my GA 6.4 sail repaired (replace lower panel) before the season really kicks off.

Thanks for the info.

Cheers,
M

Try contacting local sailmakers 1st, as all have sewing machines and most carry monofilament.
We don't know your location.

Thanks for the catch dllee. Unfortunately, I do not know of any sail lofts in my area. I am located in the desert southwest...Ridgway, Colorado. I intend on shipping my sail to be repaired. I just don't want to deal with international shipping issues...

I guess you plan on shipping your sail out.
Aren't there sailing lakes in Coloado? Where do boat sailors buy their stuff? Saol repair guys are close to sailing sites. Try the internet. Moni replacement is easy for sail repair guys.....maybe $100 per panel.

I would attempt to contact Thombiz. He is in the Corpus Christi area. Maybe he will chime in, but if not, you could send him a personal message here on iWindsurf.

The cost of shipping both ways plus the cost of the repair, may be to high to make it worth it..I just sent a 4.7 sail to Texas from central California. That cost $78. Fed-X and UPS was $80

Thanks swchandler for the tip. And, thanks to garryW for the Northwave info. I've reached out to both.

Yes, NOVAAN, shipping costs suck! How is that I can buy a brand new sail from EasySurf and have it shipped from Poland to Colorado (in 5 days no less) for the same cost of shipping from CO to the Gorge???? Bummer.

But, the sail is in great condition and the cost of shipping and repair is less than replacing the sail. In any event, it's my favorite sail and the go-to size for my area.

Just another price to pay for the best sport on the water!

I've used both NorthWave and SailWorks and would use either again in the future.

In Hatteras, the Wind Angel retired and sold her equipment to Philips BoatWorks. I haven't used these guys yet, but it's another option:
