Hi Folks,

I made a clew-mount video of a session on my newish Fanatic Sky SUP WS edition. I'm getting the hang of the board and liking it well with sails < 6.8 msq. I'm getting foiling jibes with some regularity now and need to get up the nerve to try some downwind 360s. Is there anything special I should keep in mind when I attempt those, like are there dangers to body and equipment that I should do things in a certain way to avoid, or can I just go for it with no major worries?

Thanks,
James

Very nice control.

I don't think downwind 360s are particularly dangerous. The worst thing is getting backwinded if you don't have the sail raked back enough. Sometimes this creates a bit of footstrap anxiety, but mine are very big and have not had any problems

Looks like sail all the way forward. Did you have the foil all the way back

My tips for 360, which I am still working on is turn a bit sooner than your gybe, rake the sail all the way back so the foot is on your leg and if you do get around push on the back hand to stand your self back up. Also, the leaning the mast to the windward during the bottom of the turn is much more than what feels natural.
