All this BS about the Trump-inspired invasion of the capitol (he said go peacefully), but not a peep about the 574 antifa and BLM riots that burned hundreds of businesses, killed numerous cops and store owners, and injured thousands of cops.

Fugging idiot.

I always understood "fight like hell" and cheat on everything to really mean peacefully and legally. The one hour call demanding the Georgia Secretary of State falsify the results so Trump would have won was just peachy with Iso.

Have you noticed the commentary from mrgybe explaining that this wasn't really the new Republican Party, it was an aberration, they accept elections? Neither did I. But the problems are all from the left. At least in the pages of the WSJ and oil and gas weakly.

“The GOP has become the party of false equivalences,” said James Jones, assistant professor of African American studies and sociology at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.

Many BLM protesters were responding to the death of George Floyd, a handcuffed Black man who was seen on video gasping for breath as a Minneapolis police officer pressed his knee into Floyd’s neck. Police repelled the demonstrators using rubber bullets, tear gas and military assets like helicopters.

The mob at the Capitol was fueled by baseless conspiracies propagated by Trump that the election was stolen from him through massive fraud. The rioters acted on the president’s direct urging to “fight like hell.” They attacked police with pipes and chemicals and planted bombs. They were met largely with restraint by law enforcement.

The unrest that followed Floyd’s death included vandalism, arson and looting, but the vast majority of demonstrations were peaceful. Some of the worst violence was in Portland, where thousands of protesters turned out nightly for weeks. Some hurled fireworks, rocks, ball bearings and bottles at federal agents, and a member of a right-wing extremist group was gunned down by an antifa supporter.

But prominent BLM activists repeatedly distanced themselves from provocateurs and brawlers. Much of the violence came from provoked and unprovoked confrontations with police, during city-imposed curfews and after peaceful demonstrators had gone home. An analysis of more than 7,750 demonstrations in 2,400 locations across the country found that 93% happened with no violence, according to the US Crisis Monitor, a joint effort by Princeton University and the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project.

More lies from Iso. There were not numerous cops and store owners killed by antifa and BLM.

The Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA), a professional organization of police executives representing the largest cities in the United States and Canada, issued a study on these protests.

https://majorcitieschiefs.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/MCCA-Report-on-the-2020-Protest-and-Civil-Unrest.pdf

According to them, "Five agencies reported police officers being shot or critically injured during protests. One agency reported four of their officers being shot and a retired police captain killed by protesters using firearms."

NO ACTIVE DUTY POLICE OFFICERS WERE KILLED.

I do not support violence and property damage by either BLM or MAGA nuts. I guess ISO never learned that 2 wrongs don't make a right. Still, even one death is terrible, as are the many injuries.

According to the MCCA report, "Despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of the 8,700 protests were either peaceful or involved non-violent acts of civil disobedience, there were groups and individuals that sought to exploit the protest environment in many cities and engage in violence. An estimated 7% of the protests (574 of the 8,700 protests) involved violence."

So, in these protests 7% were violent. As to the MAGA Capitol invasion, it had 100% violence.

There were also not NUMEROUS shop owners killed, just a few. Again, this is not justified and I don't support it, unlike ISO who still supports the Capitol MAGA riot. He has no sense of right and wrong.
