That's some solid feedback you two. Thank you. Some of us are wondering about the spot.
Truly hope things move for the better. Solosports does an incredible job. This Covid nightmare has to have been a nightmare for them.

I guess technology has superseated the quest for adventure.
My 1st trip to PSC was late Spring, '89.
After 3 Open Eye trips.

Treve told me Solosports depends on travelers from Europe and Japan to keep the lights on so the lack of international visitors made them shut down for two seasons now.

There's usually someone down there collecting camping fees, maintaining the pit toilets, organizing the garbage dump, etc...

I went at the end of May. We brought down a group of 8 and i think there was about 15 of us there total.

Does anybody have any current info regarding the situation at San Carlos ? I am planning on heading down for a week to camp and sail in April. Has anybody been out there in the last month or so. Iā€™m assuming there is nobody at Solosports at this point. Any info would by appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike Pulver

Thought PSC needs S swells, or it's flat.
Winter wind is mostly Sea of Cortez, not Pacific.
April is the beginning of the wave and wind season.
Hope you have a great trip.

Looks like the weather is going to be epic at PSC next few weeks. Anyone want to caravan 1st of May?

Any info on the camp? Have they closed?

Just returned from a week at PSC. Wind cranked everyday, nearly 24/7 the whole time. 3.7-4.7 sails all week for our group. Small swell, but got a couple days of head high waves. Solo Sports camp is closed and degrading pretty rapidly.

Funny thing.....
I drove down 4 times before SOLO, there was wind, waves, the dude with a bucket of fish to sell, lots of dust at night, great sailing, and adventures with keeping even after 30 years.
