It appears that there will be an XL swell event this week. Are there options to Davenport that might be more manageable? I've sailed Davenport on close out over mast high conditions, but no longer feel comfortable doing that.

Perhaps Steamer lane? Waddell? Any advice would be appreciated.

Once it gets overhead, the North reef is more fun...easier..than the normal break. Never seen it work on SW wind, so wait for NW.
It's shorepound can get mighty intimidating, with it's lighter wind where you beach start. Also, the channel might be full of kelp.

I've seen it close out between the north reef and south reef. I suspect Wednesday and Thursday will be this big. Is Steamer lane an option?

Steamer Lane gets wind shadowed by Lighthouse Point. And it is more of a surfer's only location.

Its, on the other side of Lighthouse Point will probably have a gear breaking shorepoiund. I have sometimes launched at Mitchells Cove to sail up to Its, but there is no beach there yet this year and will probably have shore pound all of the way to the stairs from the south swell.

Outside Limantour, low tide, big S swell, some closeouts, but safe deep zone inside.
Palo when NW wind kicks in. Point is better at low tides than Round Rock.
