This info is 3 days old. Tripcheck.com is also not definitive.

Hwy 14 is still closed from milepost 56 to 65. You have to cross the HR bridge and take I84 to Cascade Locks and cross the Bridge of the Gods. Turn right and that will take you to Stevenson. Happy travels!

Unless the smoke is too bad on the river, this is a GREAT opportunity to sail in light (no?) crowds at the Hatchery ... a rare treat in July. Launch at the Event Site*, rip upwind, and the Hatch/Swell will be almost your private playground.
Unless, of course, everybody reads or thinks of this.
* Oops. The Event Site is reserved this weekend for the Kiteboard For Cancer event (Thanks to Temira for that info). That's OK ...use your heads and you'll find a way to access uncrowded water.
The Hatch was officially closed one windy midsummer weekend to accommodate a world champ freestyle competition at Kodak Point. I doubt anyone even knew (I'm sure no one cared) that I had the entire east end of the Hatchery to myself from dawn 'til dark.

If the aircraft is still dipping water to drop on the fire PLEASE stay out of their way so we don't loose any more homes.
