Data from this station is courtesy of the National Weather Service (NWS). This NWS sensor is a good indicator of SW wind problems in the Peninsula. If the SFO sensor and the iwindsurf.com Half Moon Bay sensor and the San Carlos NWS all have SW winds at noon and the marine layer is deep then the Peninsula will probably not blow. If San Carlos has southerly winds and SFO has W to NW winds then there will be holes and shifts near the beach.
