In this year's race, I managed to plane out to brooks island and let the wind die, then swim back, but halfway derig and jettison my sail. after skimming the platform i made landfall, hoisted my board, mast and boom on my head for a brisk jaunt around the dog park. since i was the only participant i took home the Gold Medal.

5.6, 108lt, just about right.

Lady Coyote rewarded this AWOL cubicle warrior today. Ran away from work and dropped in around 2:30. Rigged up, and voila no wind, everybody was swimming back !!.
Around 3:30, as I was contemplating driving to Crissy with my wetsuit on, I saw somebody start to plane and then get overpowered. Then it was on. Lots of Glassy sections, but still decent for an off day.

was out at Tamales last thursday and some one left a photography business card on my windshield. Note said he had some good pics of the session. The business card with email has now gone missing. Any one know who this was?

Thanks, Andy

I met the guy. He's a pool photographer for a North-bay outdoor magazine. Said he was taking pictures for an upcoming article on the annual "return of the windsurfers to Tomales Bay". We talked for a long time, he had a lot of questions. Can't remember the name of the magazine, sorry. If I see him again I'll ask him. I'll probably sail Tomales on Thursday.

Monday at Bullhead was very nice, Powered to OP'd on a 5.0/93 liter. Water was warm, as was the wind. In fact, I inhaled a quart of water when I got back in. Skipped the beer - I was dehydrated.

Second shift: I Got a bit over an hour and a half today on 5.5. Good fun first hour then flood tide chop, SW shift and gusts to 30 made it a tad more challenging on internal organs and rattling teeth. That first hour was very good though.

First shift: saw Mo on her purple sail

Third shift... much more SW but people were still heading out to have fun.

What time were you there? I wanted to come but didn't get out of work til 3, then I decided it might repeat at Bullhead. NOT. So tomorrow, I'll go to the big T no matter what.
