Come on Bard, do you really understand the access area under the current highway bridge? The creek is directly underneath the highway bridge. The thought of building a bridge under the highway bridge, especially with the low overhead right now, is a bit outlandish. Maybe a civil plan outlining the work to be done is the call for clarity.

They are replacing two "Arizona" crossings with bridges. One crossing is on the road to North Beach not far from the PCH bridge. The other is somewhere further upstream.

Here's the description from State Parks:

Work was originally planned to start July 13th and was postponed.

Thanks Tony, the information in the link puts things into perspective. Seemingly, the pedestrian access will remain unchanged, so beach access is ensured for those staying in the campground. However, for guys like us that usually use the park's daytime parking lot, looks like we're out of luck during the construction phase with parking on Hwy 1 being the only viable option.

Red tape has postponed it for the last 2 weeks. May start any day now.
