I agree the Republicans are at fault for most of The City's woes, and certainly, for sure, this area of neglect. I'll call a Republican in The City and complain, if you'll kindly help me find one.

As you say, SFO is: "a republican administration with a veneer of liberal varnish when it comes to cultural issues".

Oh! Yes!!

Anyone who wish to contact District 10 supervisor Walton, here is the link:
https://sfbos.org/supervisor-walton-contact-us

Hi guys, I contacted the Supervisors office of District 10 and 2 (my district), and was also given the e-mail for San Francisco Public Works, contact: Dahl, Bryan (DPW) bryan.dahl@sfdpw.org.

If you e-mail remember to specify that this is not an ordinary flood, but a stationary one that has been in place for more than a month, and that on the western side, where the cement blocks closing the road are, there is no flood.

By the way, the city has been sued for the closure of the Great Highway (another great idea, but let not go there). The closure of Hunters Point Highway went completely under the radar. There was no vote from the Board of Supervisors, and no public hearing. The road is the only access to a State Park and I suspect that they might be really breaking some laws. So some pressure, even from other tiny community, might move something.

Just receive email from Gerald O'Reilly with the California State Parks.

Hunters Point Expressway was closed by the City due to flooding back in the first week of November. Gilman Avenue provided access to the park prior to the mid December storms when the city closed Gilman due to flooding.

The flooding has receded on Gilman and you can now assess the park once again. From what I understand the Expressway may reopen in February. You can also access the park via Last Port or Carol Avenue.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you
Gerald O’Reilly

Latest update. The Flood has receded and now one can enter the Park through the east side of Hunters Point Highway. Inside the park is the only place where it is possible to park and parking is limited because now cement blocks close "the circle" in front of the (broken) restrooms. Park authority claims that it is to avoid "prostitution, drug dealing, and car shows" inside the park. A bit ridiculous. Besides the problems with the Park, it has been left to itself for a decade, HPH is still closed.

Too bad because the weak February westerly is coming, and Stick is pretty much the only place where to take advantage of it.
