|
|
I know there is at least one Gorge sailor that loves my stats, so here they are, Scott!
So, my windsurfing partner (and sometimes wife) and me were in The Gorge from May 27 to Sept 12. We sailed 81 out of 109 days (75%). Skipped 6 days or so because of (real) smoke on the water . But there were next to none long no-wind stretch, so it seamed to us that it was windy all the time.
So here's the sails we used (me, 170 pounds her, 130 pounds):
5.7-6.5 : 27% - 0%
4.7-5.3: 53% - 25%
3.7-4.2: 20% - 58%
2.9-3.3: 0% - 17%
Boards we used:
105L : 7% - 0%
95 L : 51% - 3%
85L : 35% - 12%
75L : 7% - 46%
69L: 0% - 39%
Yes, I admit, I tend to use a bigger board than needed, but my better half (at
least in windsurfing) is always spot on for picking the right volume.
Cheers!
