Well its raining in the bay and we are 70% packed up and ready to head South for the winter. Just waiting on Tyson's wetsuits to show up in the mail today and then we are off.

We are heading down to Punta San Carlos to run 2 back to back weeks of clinics in conjunction with the Windsport Mag Gear Tests, and there is still room if anyone is interested Oct. 8-15 and 15-22.

It looks like we have a good South Swell for the 8-11 and hopefully another coming in on the 17th and 18th.

Then we keep on truckin with the trailer down to La Ventana to open up our windsurf center down there.

We will keep you guys posted here with road reports, swell reports and wind reports as well as fun photos and videos we capture along the way.

So Stay Tuned and wish us luck (when you look at the photo of the loaded trailer you will see that we need all the luck we can get.)

Hasta la pasta,
Wyatt and Tyson.

The Baja has been good to us. The trailer pulled straight no problem. The customs agents only wanted to see the papers for the quads and did not even make us get out of the van. Supposedly they have been getting tougher at the San Ysidro border crossing but not this time.

We decided to stay in Ensenada and try to get new U-Joints put in the van, we rolled into the hotel and I started talking with the parking attendant and in 10 minutes he had 2 mechanics out there who removed my drive shaft and took it with the new U-Joints to his shop and then came back and reinstalled it while we showered, we didn't even have to move the van. Incredible service for $400 pesos. Gotta love mexico.

They are still reworking the road south of Ensenada which sucks for at least 10-15 miles, really bumpy. But the rest of the road is smooth at usual.

The San Carlos road is not the worst I have ever seen nor the best. If you are driving in you want to go right / strait in the big arroyo at mile 17, the normal path out of the arroyo to the left is pretty much out or you have to beeline it across a long super soft patch. If you go the other way it is pretty easy.

We have a great crew down here in San Carlos for our clinic, head high waves and 5.0-5.5 wind and everyone is stoked. Great glassy SUPn conditions in the morning and the wind has shown by noon every day, swell is supposed to drop the next few days and then come hammering back in Wednesday / Thursday.

Ohhh Dude. The biggest and windiest day yet here in Punta San Carlos. SUPed last night well after dark on some head and a half high NW/SW sets off the point. It was a long trek home into the wind and I found out it is harder to balance once it gets dark.

Today it was 4.5 with Mast high sets coming in out front and down at the point. Saw some major aerials out there. Like 4 kite rescues, yet somehow all the windsurfers made it back in even though it was the first day in the waves for about 5 of them. Now it is prime time at the Chili-Bowl Cantina. Sipping Baja fogs.

I will try to put up some photos manana,

Also heard there has been some good wind in LV already.

Baja is being good to us, the new crew is talking about some South Swell Wednesday.

We have goiterfest going on down here in San Carlos. Our man Mike threw his first a couple days ago (photo) and has been going hard on em. That encouraged a little bet between Tyson and I. I am gonna coach local champ Joey Sanchez on goiterification while Tyson Coaches PSC local Doug. The contest starts today....my bets are on Joey given his superior instructor.

It blew 4.0 to 4.5 day and night the last few days and looks to do it again so I should have some good carnage report.

Not gonna lie. 15 of 15 days with wind here in San Carlos. We coulda used a bit more swell the second week, but we rode waves every day.

Good crew the last 2 weeks. Tyson made a shot at the 15 Baja fog record and made it to 12 with some coaching and forced water breaks. And he was surprisingly together this morning.

Tomorrow we pack it up and go pick up the trailer in El Rosario then head south to Guerrero Negro.

We should be basking in the 90 degree warmth and windy weather by Tuedsay night. Vroom Vroom.

We made it!!!!!!

Left San Carlos and hit the road hit El Rosario and picked up our trailer from Emerita’s (Solosports head chefs house) then 8 hours later we were in Guerrero Negro. Crashed in a hotel and took the first full pressure 30 minute shower in 3 weeks. So Fresh So Clean. There was some gnarly dirt bypass North of Guerrero Negro that was almost as bad as the San Carlos road, but all and all the improvements on MEX 1 are awesome, and in many spots the road is so wide it feels like the good ol USA.

Woke up the next morning and hit the road by 9:30 AM. Made it to Bahia Concepcion by mid afternoon. The van started overheating in the mountains to the South due to the fact that it was around 100 degrees and we were towing an overloaded trailer. We made a couple stops to let ‘er cool down and refill the radiator but, the van was a champ. Plus the lag time gave us a chance to make a game out of throwing rocks down the cliffs at bottles and plastic water jugs.

By 9PM we were in La Paz grabbing bacon wrapped hot dogs at one of our favorites spots. A Ballena later we were in LV and it was HOT. So hot we couldn’t sleep with the fan going, and the thought of putting a sheet on our sweaty backs was preposterous.

Spent the next day installing all the new parts we brought down for our fleet of 6 ATVs, and a stiffer back spring for the dirtbike, sweating balls in the garage. Went out in the evening and hung with all our local familia and even they agreed it was hot as Sh&*%. But fortunately they told us we were supposed to get wind Wednesday or Thursday. We woke up this morning Wednesday and it was still hot as Hell.

By 12 noon today (Wednesday 26th) the wind started to pick up and we rigged up and hit the water for some windsurf fishing. FISH ON!! So far we are at 100%, we both caught nice sized Sierras (Spanish Mackerel) with a bunch of bites to keep it fun. It felt like the beginning of a Norte Wind (which is supposed to show up tomorrow) we were fully planing on the 5.4s and SUPs (coulda got planing on the freestyle boards with the same sail though).

There are a few new stores in town, Pablo’s should open in the next couple days but Tacos Leon is going full blast and we had our first Hot Dog Especiales from Rucci last night.

Ohhhhh yes, its on!!!
