waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a weak warm front over the east end of lake erie will
lift north of the lake early today. a cold front will cross the 
lake tuesday afternoon and evening. high pressure 30.20 inches 
from the upper midwest will slide across the eastern great lakes 
by wednesday night. low pressure 29.60 inches will track from the 
southwestern states toward the great lakes on friday.

across the lower michigan peninsula today. a much stronger low 
pressure system, 29.90 inches, will lift from central canada 
through hudson bay today and tonight. this low will drag a cold 
front across the northern great lakes on tuesday. the strength of 
this front will make gale force wind gusts possible monday night 
through tuesday night. winds will ease as high pressure builds into 
the region wednesday.
