waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.4 inch low will move across the canadian
maritimes tonight and tuesday...while a 30.2 inch high will slowly
move to the upper great lakes. the large surface high will be 
centered over the province of ontario tuesday night then will
drift across the ottawa valley to quebec wednesday and thursday.
the high will generally be centered over the lake thursday night
and friday. high pressure will nose across the lake on
saturday...while a deepening storm system will move up the
northeast coast.
