lakes during the weekend as two low pressure systems move through
the region. the first will reach the minnesota arrowhead tonight...
averaging 29.80 inches...and will pull a warm front rapidly through
the great lakes saturday. this will be followed by a stronger and
faster moving system sunday that will bring another a new surge of
cold air over the region by monday.

waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights...which
is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along
with the average height of the highest 10 percent of the waves
which will occasionally be encountered.
.synopsis...high pressure of 30.0 inches centered across the ohio
valley and the eastern great lakes this morning will move off the
mid atlantic coast tonight. meanwhile...low pressure of 29.4
inches over southern saskatchewan this morning will slowly move
southeast to southern manitoba tonight. a surface trough averaging
29.7 inches and an associated cold front extending from this low
across the northern plains will sweep across lake michigan on
saturday. another low of 29.6 inches will drop across the upper
mississippi valley saturday night and cross lake michigan on
sunday. behind the passage of this low...winds will turn northerly
and quickly increase...with a few near gale force gusts possible
late sunday night or early monday. high pressure of 30.2 inches is
then forecast to slowly move from the upper midwest to the lower
great lakes through the middle of next week.
