high pressure of 30.1 inches will linger over the upper great
lakes into thursday night. breezy north winds over the southern 
half of the lake will give way to generally light and northerly 
winds tonight through thursday. rain and a few thunderstorms may 
move over the southern half of the lake thursday night before
exiting to the east.

a slow moving low pressure system around 29.6 inches will advance
from the northern plains into the northern great lakes region 
friday through sunday. a warm front will lift north friday 
morning and winds will shift to southerly over the lake. winds 
remain light until they turn southwesterly saturday ahead of an 
approaching cold front, where gusts may reach 20 knots. winds then
ease and become westerly following the frontal passage saturday 
night into sunday. there will be chances for multiple rounds rain 
and thunderstorms across the lake from friday night through early
