waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...low pressure 29.40 will move into northern quebec 
monday. an associated cold front will drop southeast across the 
great lakes crossing lake erie monday evening. tuesday, high 
pressure 30.30 inches will move east into quebec and northern new 
england as low pressure 29.30 inches moves north through alabama 
into western tennessee. the low will continue north into southern 
lower michigan early thursday as high pressure moves off the new 
england coast. friday another low 29.70 inches will move through 
the lower lakes.

.synopsis...weak low pressure, 29.70 inches, and attendant frontal
boundary draped across the central great lakes will wash out
today as higher pressure builds across the ohio valley. pressure
will continue building to near 30.00 inches monday. high pressure
building south of hudson's bay will briefly spike pressure to
near 30.20 inches across the northern great lakes tuesday before
pressure gradually lowers in advance of the remnants of
subtropical storm alberto.

waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.synopsis...the western great lakes region will remain between 
high pressure averaging 29.9 inches over the atlantic coast, and 
low pressure of 29.5 inches across the great plains today. high 
pressure of 30.1 inches will build from central canada into the 
eastern great lakes by the middle of this week as the trough 
lingers across the great plains and rockies. remnants of 
subtropical storm alberto are forecast to reach the southern 
peninsula of michigan wednesday night at around 29.5 inches.
