waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights...which
is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along
with the average height of the highest 10 percent of the waves
which will occasionally be encountered.
.synopsis...a 29.4 inch low is over ontario and its cold front
extends through the lower michigan peninsula just south of lake
michigan into central illinois. the low will continue northeast
into quebec this evening. a 30.3 inch high builds over the
northern plains monday afternoon and then reaches the lake
tuesday. the high remains over the lake through midweek and then
slides over the appalachians thursday. a trough of low pressure
averaging 29.8 inches along with a cold front slide down the lake
thursday night with another high moving over the lake friday night
into saturday.
