for waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on lake superior
.synopsis...a 29.8 inch low pressure centered near the keweenaw
peninsula will track southeastward to lower michigan overnight in
advance of a 30.0 inch high pressure that will build to near lake
superior. as this high drifts into the mid atlantic states on
wednesday...expect 29.3 inch low pressure to move eastward across
far southern saskatchewan and manitoba. an associated 29.5 inch
trough will cross lake superior late wednesday night and thursday
morning while the low moves over northern ontario. a cold front will
then cross lake superior thursday evening as the low moves across
james bay. a 30.3 inch high pressure will move into the north
central plains on friday and the mid mississippi river valley on
saturday as a 29.6 inch low forms on the cold front over the ohio
valley. look for a weak 30.0 inch low pressure trough to cross the
upper great lakes on saturday before a 30.2 inch ridge builds in
from the northwest on sunday.
