waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights...which
is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along
with the average height of the highest 10 percent of the waves
which will occasionally be encountered.
.synopsis...high pressure of 30.1 inches stretches across the ohio
valley this morning while another high of 30.2 inches lies over
the canadian prairies. in between...a weak frontal trough of 29.9
inches is over northern lake michigan and will remain there
through the day...then slip south down the lake tonight while the
high over canada builds over lake superior. the high will shift to
the eastern lakes region friday while low pressure of 29.5 inches
forms over the northern plains and canadian prairies. this low
will move across ontario into quebec over the weekend dragging
another cold front across lake michigan saturday night into early
sunday.

.synopsis...a weak low pressure trough averaging 30.0 inches will
move south across the upper great lakes today. the trough will be
followed by 30.2 inch high pressure which will build southeastward
from central canada and become centered just northeast of lake
superior by thursday morning. the high will move to new england on
friday before a 29.5 inch trough tracks into northwest ontario late
friday. another area of low pressure averaging 29.6 inches will
develop over the northern plains friday night. this low will deepen
to 29.4 inches as it shifts over the upper great lakes region
late saturday into saturday night and then into quebec on sunday.
